The future of travel at John F. Kennedy International Airport is getting a major infusion of New York flavor, with the announcement that homegrown favorite For Five Coffee Roasters will be a cornerstone of the new $4.2 billion Terminal 6. The Queens-based specialty roaster is part of a curated lineup of iconic city brands, including P.J. Clarke's and Brooklyn Brewery, all set to open their first-ever airport locations when the terminal’s first phase launches in 2026.
For travelers, this means the premium coffee experience New Yorkers have enjoyed for years will soon be a pre-flight ritual. For Five Coffee Roasters, founded by two childhood friends from Queens, has built its reputation on sourcing high-quality beans directly from farmers and fostering a modern café atmosphere. Its presence at T6 underscores the terminal's mission to embody the authentic and diverse spirit of the city.
“T6 is a celebration of all things New York City,” said JFK Millennium Partners CEO Steve Thody. “It is exciting to have these beloved New York brands join T6's other culinary selections, offering a true taste of New York to travelers from around the world.”
The For Five outpost, strategically located in the main concourse across from P.J. Clarke's, will serve its signature beverages to a global audience. The menu will feature the sophisticated Gotham Mocha, a refreshing blend of espresso, cold milk, and chocolate sauce, and The Louie, a unique New Orleans-style cold brew sweetened with maple syrup. Seasonal favorites like the pumpkin spice latte will also be available, ensuring every passenger can find their perfect cup.
Paul Loupakos, senior vice president for SSP America, which will operate the café, highlighted the brand’s authentic roots. “We're proud to bring two iconic brands... to one of the world's most dynamic airports,” he said. “Each brand is rooted in New York's culture and hospitality.”
As construction progresses toward the 2026 opening, the inclusion of For Five Coffee Roasters signals a new standard for airport concessions. It’s not just another coffee shop; it’s a deliberate import of a local success story, ensuring that from the moment travelers arrive, they will savor the bold, innovative, and resilient energy of New York in every sip.
