In a move that reshapes the landscape of the American coffee industry, Texas-based FreshBrew has acquired the branded coffee division of New York's White Coffee Corporation. The strategic acquisition, announced as one of the largest of the year, grants FreshBrew the nation's largest portfolio of licensed branded K-Cup® products, significantly expanding its market reach and production capabilities.
The acquisition price that FreshBrew paid for White Coffee's licensed division has not been publicly disclosed. FreshBrew, a private company, is not required to reveal the financial details of its acquisitions.
The deal unites two multi-generational, family-owned companies. FreshBrew, with over 90 years in business, is leveraging this acquisition to dramatically scale its operations and diversify its consumer base.
"FreshBrew is expanding its capabilities and growing the business with purpose," said Al Ansari, CEO of FreshBrew Group. "Acquiring a respected, family-led company like this presented a rare opportunity to strengthen our position in the coffee industry. This move expands our offerings and diversifies our customer and consumer base."

Under the agreement, FreshBrew secures ownership of White Coffee's extensive portfolio of licenses, allowing it to develop, produce, and market coffee for a wide array of major, well-established brands. This new branded division will complement FreshBrew's existing private-label business, with the company managing the entire process from roasting and grinding to distribution.
For White Coffee Corporation, a family-operated business since its founding in 1939, the sale marks a poignant but secure passing of the torch.
Jonathan White, Executive Vice President of White Coffee Corp
"All three generations of our family have dedicated themselves to building the White Coffee legacy. Handing the stewardship of our branded portfolio to FreshBrew is a proud and emotional milestone," said Jonathan White, Executive Vice President of White Coffee Corp and Chair of the National Coffee Association's Board of Directors.
Carole White, President of White Coffee Corp., echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the continuity of quality. "Our company has been our family's life for decades. Seeing our brands and licensed partnerships carried forward by FreshBrew ensures that White Coffee's history of quality and care will live on for future generations of coffee drinkers."
The transaction is set to have a substantial operational impact. With the addition of White Coffee's branded business and a new liquid production facility, FreshBrew will now have the capability to produce approximately 150,000 pounds of coffee per day. Furthermore, the company will now produce extracts and concentrates for the broader food and beverage industry.
To ensure a smooth transition and leverage their deep industry knowledge, Jonathan White and Gregory White, Vice President of White Coffee Corp., will join FreshBrew's executive team. They will focus on leading the integration and driving growth in the retail division and other facets of the expanded business.
