Currently, Krishnan holds a position with the Crop Trust in Bonn, Germany. The Crop Trust is dedicated to conserving and making crop diversity available for use globally. In this role, Krishnan is responsible for providing oversight, along with a team of scientists and project managers, on the implementation of projects and programs designed to secure and safeguard the foundations of the world's food supply through the world's national, regional and international gene banks. Sarada's specialties include an interest in coffee genetic resources.

The IWCA’s Board of Directors expresses its support for Krishnan and her important work with the Crop Trust and wished her the very best moving forward. Mrs. Sharon Riechers, IWCA Board President expresses her wish also to look forward to Sarada continuing in an advisory role with IWCA and assisting in the transition to a new Executive Director. The Board will begin the search for a new Executive Director in the near future. Dr. Krishnan will be at the Specialty Coffee Association Expo in Portland in April, and looks forward to seeing the coffee community in one place at the IWCA Breakfast on Saturday, April 22.
