Swedish family-owned roastery Löfbergs has been named the sole coffee supplier for Circle K service stations across Europe, expanding their existing partnership into a continent-wide exclusive agreement.

The three-year deal covers more than 4,000 Circle K locations across 12 countries, marking a significant milestone in Löfbergs' international growth strategy. The partnership, already established in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Ireland, will now roll out gradually across Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Baltic states.

"This is a very important partnership for us," said Trina Törnqvist, Chief International Business Officer at Löfbergs. "Circle K is a strong, well-established player in Europe, and this agreement is a clear endorsement of our coffee offering – in terms of taste, quality, sustainability and overall performance – at an international level. We look forward to growing together and to continuing to develop the coffee experience at their stations."

Founded in 1906 by brothers Anders, John, and Josef Löfberg, the company remains headquartered in Karlstad, Sweden, where its iconic coffee skyscraper and state-of-the-art production facilities have become local landmarks. Deeply rooted in Swedish fika culture—the cherished tradition of coffee breaks shared with colleagues and friends—the brand is instantly recognizable by its signature purple branding.

Löfbergs specializes in 100% Arabica coffee sourced from South America, Central America, and East Africa, and has built a strong reputation for its commitment to sustainability alongside quality and taste.

The collaboration places significant emphasis on environmental and social responsibility. Circle K's ambition to build an attractive and sustainable coffee destination across Europe aligns closely with Löfbergs' long-term approach to responsible sourcing, close relationships with coffee farmers, and rigorous quality and sustainability controls.

Coffee remains a cornerstone of Circle K's customer offering, and the partnership aims to deliver a consistent, quality-assured coffee experience featuring both whole bean and ground coffee options.

"This agreement will provide a consistent coffee experience that customers expect," said Alison Lynch, European Director of Coffee & Dispensed Beverages at Circle K.

The expanded partnership strengthens Löfbergs' position in the European market while opening new opportunities for continued growth through wholesale channels and additional sales channels.

Circle K, which operates approximately 5,200 stations in Europe, has selected Löfbergs to supply more than 4,000 of those locations. The agreement runs for three years with a mutual target to grow volumes.

For visitors to Karlstad, the Löfbergs experience extends beyond service stations—the brand welcomes coffee enthusiasts at Kafé Rosteriet, a café directly attached to the original roasting factory. The company also holds naming rights to Löfbergs Arena, home of the Swedish ice hockey team Färjestad BK.

As one of the largest family-owned coffee roasteries in the Nordic region, Löfbergs is betting that its blend of heritage, sustainability, and quality will resonate with European drivers looking for their next cup on the road.
