The company that built a cult following on the mantra "world's strongest coffee" is turning up the dial once again. Death Wish Coffee Co. announced the launch of “Power Surge”, a new brew packing approximately 210 milligrams of caffeine per 6-ounce serving — a 20% jolt above the brand's beloved Dark Roast.

For the Society of Strong Coffee, the brand's rapidly growing legion of loyalists who have fueled a caffeine revolution since 2012, this is the wake-up call they've been waiting for.

"Life doesn't build, it hits," said Steve Gardiner, Chief Executive Officer of Death Wish Coffee Co., in a statement. "Perfect routines do not always resonate with the reality of our chaotic schedules. With Power Surge, we are embracing our heritage and leading the high caffeine revolution once again."

Unlike competitors that turn to synthetic additives or artificial caffeine boosters, Death Wish achieves Power Surge's potency the old-fashioned way: a heavier reliance on premium Organic Robusta beans. The resilient varietal naturally packs approximately 2.5 milligrams of caffeine per bean, compared to Arabica's 1.5 milligrams.

The result, the company says, is a full-bodied brew with low acidity and a bold flavor profile featuring notes of berry and malt — clean caffeine meant to "calm the chaos" rather than amplify jitters.

Power Surge arrives with the certifications its fan base has come to expect: USDA Organic and Fair Trade, ensuring that the quest for peak performance doesn't come at the expense of ingredient integrity or farmer livelihoods.

Caffeine seekers can purchase Power Surge starting today on Amazon. Throughout the spring and summer, the product will roll out to retail shelves nationwide at major chains including Wegmans, Target, Raley's, Kroger, Weis, Price Chopper, Walmart, Albertsons, Tops, and Winn-Dixie, with more locations to follow.

The new line is available in 10-ounce ground bags, 16-ounce ground bags, 16-ounce whole bean bags, and 10-count single-serve pods.

"Our consumers count on us to push the boundaries of what a great cup of coffee can deliver," Gardiner added. "With Power Surge, we're delivering a jitter-free kick of caffeine and the bold, smooth flavor our fans expect — proving that you never have to sacrifice ingredient integrity and Fair Trade standards for potency."

The launch follows the brand's recent debut of a Caramel Cold Brew Latte, part of what the company describes as a steady pipeline of new products. All Death Wish offerings adhere to rigorous environmental and ethical standards, the company said.
