Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee, a century-old Canadian coffee and tea company, has announced a major expansion with the opening of a new coffee extract facility aimed at scaling its cold brew business and meeting growing consumer demand for ready-to-drink coffee products.
The new operation, branded as Complete Extract Solutions, is housed within the company's 320,000-square-foot Mississauga headquarters and represents a significant investment in vertical integration. The purpose-built facility is designed specifically for liquid coffee extracts, combining coffee sourcing, roasting, extraction, aseptic processing, product development, packaging, and commercial-scale manufacturing under one roof.

"We are investing in innovation because customers need practical, scalable ways to bring cold coffee and coffee extract solutions to market with consistency, quality and operational simplicity," said Danielle Barran, President and CEO of Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee.
The expansion positions Mother Parkers to better serve foodservice, retail, private-label, and industrial customers across both Canadian and U.S. markets. The integrated platform is designed to support a range of applications including cold brew, iced coffee, coffee concentrates, and other liquid coffee extract formulations.
Founded in 1912, Mother Parkers has evolved from a family-run Ontario business into a North American coffee and tea powerhouse. The company manufactures its own Higgins & Burke Tea and Martinson Coffee brands, while also producing partner brands such as Marley Coffee.
The new facility addresses what industry experts identify as a critical bottleneck in the rapidly growing cold coffee segment. By consolidating the entire production chain — from bean sourcing to final packaging — Mother Parkers can offer customers faster development timelines and more consistent product quality.
The aseptic processing capability is particularly noteworthy, as it allows for extended shelf life without refrigeration, opening new distribution channels and reducing supply chain complexity for clients.
With the ready-to-drink coffee market continuing its robust growth trajectory, Mother Parkers' investment positions the company as a key player in helping brands bring innovative cold coffee products to market efficiently. The expansion underscores the company's commitment to staying ahead of consumer trends while maintaining the operational excellence that has defined its 114-year history.
