Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) and Nestlé USA announced today a significant extension of their strategic partnership, solidifying the manufacturing and distribution of Starbucks® K-Cup® pods across the United States and Canada.

The renewed agreement builds upon the initial collaboration established in 2020, expanding its scope to include new programs focused on distribution growth and product innovation for the Starbucks brand within the Keurig® brewing system.

Under the terms of the deal, Nestlé will continue to leverage its global agreement with Starbucks for consumer packaged goods. This makes Nestlé responsible for distributing Starbucks’ at-home coffee platforms into grocery and other retail channels outside of Starbucks coffeehouses (excluding ready-to-drink products). Consumers can expect the same premium Arabica coffee sourced and roasted by Starbucks, available in a range of signature blends, roasts, and flavored coffees—for both hot and iced beverages.

Echoing the sentiment, Daniel Jhung, President of Nestlé USA Coffee & Beverage Division, noted the strategic importance of the Keurig platform. "The Keurig system is an important platform for our Starbucks at-home portfolio and we are pleased to renew our agreement, as we look to build upon our K-Cup pod innovation and offerings for consumers," Jhung said.
