In a significant move to solidify its corporate responsibility efforts, Tim Hortons has officially launched Tims for Good, a comprehensive platform dedicated to forging a more responsible future. The initiative is anchored by a series of lead commitments, with a pronounced focus on uplifting the global communities at the very heart of its supply chain: coffee farmers.

The company underscores that behind every cup of Tims coffee served is a dedicated farming community. This new commitment extends directly to the regions where its coffee is sourced, aiming to strengthen the businesses and secure the futures of those who grow it. The program is designed to empower farmers by improving their livelihoods through specialized training, delivered in collaboration with a network of local coffee exporters, not-for-profits, and producer organizations.

Central to this ambitious endeavor is a partnership with the sustainability verification non-profit, Enveritas. The organization will assess one hundred percent of Tim Hortons’ annual coffee purchases against a rigorous set of social, economic, and environmental indicators.

Through its dedicated "coffee for communities" program, Tim Hortons will leverage Enveritas’ unique and innovative model, which provides an accurate, farm-level view of sustainability practices. This precise data allows the company and its suppliers to identify the specific challenges farmers face within its supply chain. Instead of applying a one-size-fits-all solution, this evidence-based approach enables the design of targeted programs that directly address local needs, enhancing farmer livelihoods while simultaneously contributing to the long-term sustainability and quality of coffee production.

“With our partners, we work directly with coffee farmers to provide them the technical and business skills to unlock their potential,” a company representative stated.

This support is being rolled out through 14 distinct projects across 13 different sourcing regions, reflecting a methodical and widespread effort to measure and ensure progress over time. The program has set a clear, impactful goal: to provide direct support to 18,000 farmers by the year 2025, fostering resilience and prosperity within the essential communities that form the foundation of the iconic brand.
