“As I assume the role of CEO at the Committee on Sustainability Assessment (COSA), I’m excited to lead an organization that understands sustainability is not just good for the planet; it’s essential for business. COSA is at the forefront of this movement, leveraging data to drive sustainability, and delivering tangible ROI for our diverse partners. From governments to farmer organizations and brands across agricultural value chains, COSA’s work is pivotal in addressing two of the most significant challenges of our time: inequality, and the climate crisis. By utilizing data-driven strategies, we empower our clients to navigate the intersection of sustainability and business success. I’m honored to lead this incredible team as we champion this urgent and time-sensitive work.” – Liam Brody, CEO, COSA.

COSA extends its gratitude to co-founder and outgoing CEO Daniele Giovannucci, for his vision, leadership, and lasting contributions to COSA’s mission and impact.

The Committee on Sustainability Assessment (COSA) has been at the forefront of revolutionizing sustainability since its inception in 2005. COSA unlocks data needed to make sustainability happen in global agriculture and food systems. This transforms the practices and policies required to achieve bold sustainability goals, meet strict new regulations, and improve livelihoods all while regenerating nature capital.
