Woke Coffee brand by The Duchess of Sussex is promoted in an Instagram video during her first public appearance since Harry's surprising memoir.
Hannah Mendoza’s Clevr Instagram posted the video discussing about the brand and shared the clips of Meghan Markle’s visit to company.
Meghan had backed Clevr to promote its products in 2020 with Oprah by sending her a gift basket filled with the company’s brands.
In the clip, Mendoza discussed how she started the brand in 2016, saying: “People fell in love with the drink and really wanted to make them at home.”
“Meghan ended up becoming our first investor, adviser and biggest Clevr advocate. 'She even sent our tumeric latte to friends. A few days later, I open my phone to see Oprah herself making our superlatte in the kitchen.” said Mendoza.
Meghan’s investment is one of hers and Harry’s after relinquishing their royal obligations and relocated to California where her past career was based as an actresses.
“This investment is in support of a passionate entrepreneur who prioritizes building community alongside her business,” Meghan said of the brand’s founder and CEO, Hannah.
“I am proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love that takes a holistic approach to wellness. I believe in her and I believe in her company.”
Oprah Winfrey has promoted her ‘neighbor’ Meghan Markle’s ‘ethical’ coffee brand in different ways in recent years.
In January, Harry appeared on a host of shows, including 60 Minutes and Good Morning America, as well as The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to promote his memoir. Upon its release, the couple’s popularity took a hit globally.
